Glenda Capps

DEXTER - Glenda J. Capps, 79, died Dec. 17, 2006, in Tulsa, Okla.

Born June 3, 1927, in Caledonia, Miss., daughter of the late O.H. and Mamie Caple Stark, she had been a resident of Tulsa since 2001 but lived most of her life in Dexter where she was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

On Dec. 19, 1952, she married John Marvin Capps who preceded her in death on May 26, 1995.

Survivors include: one son, John M. Capps of Houston; three daughters, Kristie Gibson of Tulsa, Cathy Miller of Houston and Carla Hunt of St. Peters; one brother, Orin Stark of Mystic, Conn.; one sister, Wynola Hill of St. Louis; and four grandchildren and two nieces.

Graveside rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Dexter Cemetery with Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
