Bernice Buck

SIKESTON - Bernice A. Buck, 86, died at 7:55 a.m. March 29, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 4, 1919, in Benton, to the late Theodore and Rosa Logel Bollinger, she was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and the Altar Sodality.

On Feb. 17, 1944, in Memphis, Tenn. she married Vernon D. Buck, who preceded her in death on March 1, 1994.

One brother and one grandson also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Dickey Russell of Dogwood, Amy and Bill Brentlinger of Cape Girardeau and Kris and James Lathum of Matthews; three grandchildren, Eric Yates, Bethany Deuster and Kyle Deuster, all of Sikeston; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Church.

Monsignor Richard Rolwing, senior priest in service, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
