SIKESTON - Lillas Heacox, 84, died March 27, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Aug. 20, 1922, in Essex, daughter of the late John and Lela Sylvia Mae Tucker Triplett, she was a member of the Nazarene Church, Rebekah Lodge, VFW Auxiliary, Henry Meldrum American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Election Board.

In May 1943, she married Eual W. Heacox Sr., who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1975.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Marion Norman Triplett, Harold Eugene Triplett and James Clinton Triplett; and one sister, Thelma Moss.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Cathy Heacox of Sikeston and Eual W. and Marsha Heacox Jr. of St. Louis; one daughter and son-

in-law, Deborah and Gary McKown of Sikeston; one brother, Charles Lloyd Triplett of Dexter; one sister, Elsie Naomi Negron of Sikeston; eight grandson, Brent (Dawn) McKown, Derek (Brenda) McKown, Kristopher (Kristi) Heacox, Bradly Heacox, Jeffrey (Sara) Heacox, Timothy (Christy) Heacox-Jaynes, Bill (Kim) Baker and Eric (Mandy) Heacox; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday. Dr. Rick Ramsey, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
