ORAN - Lena C. Bucher, 80, died at 11:22 a.m. Jan. 25, 2007, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 2, 1927, in Kelso, to the late Benjamin and Sophia Scherer Compas, she was a homemaker and member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and St. Ann Sodality in Oran.

On Feb. 11, 1947, she married Herman L. Bucher, who preceded her in death on March 7, 1993.

One son, James Bucher also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: four sons, Wilfred Bucher of Oran, Francis Bucher of Kelso, Denis Bucher of Jackson and Ralph Bucher of Paducah, Ky.; two daughters, Joyce Seyer and Maryann Garvey of Jackson; three brothers, Arnold Compas of South Bend, Ind., Ervin Compas of Chaffee and Charles Compas of Wentzville; one sister, Lorena Himmelsbach of Morristown, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren, Lesley Bucher, Matthew Bucher, Paul Bucher, Caleb Seyer, Alicia Seyer, Chris Bucher, Stephen Bucher, Jennifer Bucher, Amy Goodson, Dean Bucher, Nick Garvey, Kyle Garvey, Drew Garvey, Morgan Bucher and Jordan Bucher; and three great-

grandchildren, Claire Bucher, Taylor Goodson and Chase Goodson.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, with parish prayers at 7 p.m. and K.C. prayers at 7:15 p.m., at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. John Harth officiating.

Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.

Pallbearers will be her 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
