DEXTER - Roger Ray, 60, died May 28, 2007, at the M.D. Anderson Medical Clinic in Houston.

Born July 11, 1946 in Malden, son of the late James and Violet Cook Ray, he was the owner and operator of Raco Distributing Inc. in Dexter and a member of the Pleasant Grove Church.

On May 29, 1966, at Dexter, he married Velma Corlies, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Bobbi Lynn of Dexter; one half-brother, Glen Billings of McRae, Ark.; two sisters, Geneva Seed of Oxford, Mich. and Brenda Presson of Rector, Ark.; by one half-sister, Deen Anderson of Black Oak, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Ray.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Dale Shearon and the Rev. Ron Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sycamore Cemetery in rural Dexter.
