SIKESTON - Glenda K. Herring, 60, passed away Aug. 12, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 26, 1947, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Jefferson and Goldie Rodgers Scott. She had attended First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston.

On Oct. 18, 1969, in San Pablo, Calif., she married Gerald Herring who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jerry Herring of Napa, Calif. and Shawn Herring of Sikeston; two daughters, Patricia Felsch and Pamela Orris, both of Napa; two brothers, Barry Scott of Sikeston and Gary Scott of Benicia, Calif.; and nine grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Other family members include: Ronnie and Kathryn Appleton family of Oran and Morehouse, Della Anthony and family of St. Louis, Stanley and Sheila Northern, Murlene Scott, James (Rook) Scott, Peggy Wilson, Bob Scott, May Scott and several other family members of Southeast Missouri.

Her favorite pastimes included shopping, cooking and most of all, spending time with her family. She was loved and left a lasting impression on many and will be truly missed.

Friends may attend her viewing from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with pastor Ron Tate, pastor of First Assembly of God officiating.
