Gladys Terry

EAST PRAIRIE - Gladys Burney Terry, 73, died at 5:45 p.m. June 6, 2007, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born April 2, 1934, in Kentucky, to the late Edward and Fronie Aday Burney, she lived most of her life in Mississippi County.

On June 15, 1951, at Union City, Tenn., she married James Robert "J.R." Terry, who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1996.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday. Martin Lucas will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
