Emorys to celebrate

EAST PRAIRIE -- Family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Emory are invited to attend a celebration in honor of the couple's golden wedding anniversary from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 6 at the East Prairie Housing Authority's Community Building.

The couple were married Aug. 3, 1956, at the Charleston Methodist Church. Emory was employed by the U.S. Post Office in East Prairie for 43 years and retired in 1993. Mrs. Emory was a school nurse in the East Prairie School system for 25 years and retired in 1984.

Hosting the reception are the couple's children and grandchildren: Tracy Hall, Stacy, Seth and Shayna; Dr. and Mrs. Jeff Emory, Jackie and Alex, and Mr. and Mrs. Mark (Beth) Poore, Jessica and Jacob.
