Snooks Lockhart
SIKESTON - S.A. "Snooks" Lockhart, 93, died March 7, 2007, at his home.
Born Sept. 19, 1913, in the state of Oklahoma, son of the late Carl and Pauline Cross Puckett, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Sikeston. A veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, he was a line foreman for REA before retiring.
On June 25, 1933, he married Dalma Harnes, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: several nieces and nephews, including: Art Puckett and Dixie Allan of Columbia, S.C., and Pam "Paul" Harper of Jackson.
One brother, Vernon Peter Puckett; and one sister, Doris Puckett Parks, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. James Hackney, retired former pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Chester Kordahl, Billy Littleton, Charles Chaney, Brian Law, Steve Huffstutler and Howard Peridore.
