SIKESTON -- Angela Pauline Shanks and Christopher Leigh Payne were united in marriage during a 3 p.m. wedding Aug. 5, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Parma. Cecil Williams performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Diane Stricklin of Sikeston and Stanley Shanks of Morehouse. Parents of the bridegroom are Jesse and Raymond Montoya of Parma.

Providing music for the occasion were vocalists Sheila Faire and Liz Murray.

Given in marriage by her daughter, Alyssa Klos, the bride wore a white strapless, satin A-line princess line gown with a sweep train accented with beading, sequins and pearls.

Maid of honor was Brandy Crisel of Charleston. Bridesmaids were Shawna Robilio of Memphis, Tenn., Dena Hernandez of Dundee, Ill. and LaDonna Faire of Jackson.

Alyssa Klos of Cape Girardeau and daughter of the bride was flower girl. The bridal party wore banana-colored dresses during the beach-themed wedding. The bride and bridal party wore decorated, white flip flops.

Robert Payne of Sikeston served the bridegroom as best man. Groomsmen were John Robilio of Memphis, Gerald Murray of Springfield and Robby Watson of Parma.

Ringbearer was Landyn Faire, son of Chad Faire of Sikeston.

The bridegroom and groomsmen wore white tuxedos and flip flops.

Ushers were Chad Faire of Sikeston and Randy Green of Parma.

A reception followed in the banquet room at the Sikeston Eagles Lodge.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Payne are making their home in Cape Girardeau.
