Speakout 1/3

I have a question. When did retail stores start providing special parking to certain minority groups? You know what I mean. When I go shopping I don't understand why these groups are allowed to park in the emergency zones in front of the stores. Cops just drive by without ticketing them. I've seen it happen. The truth is this is very dangerous. It should not be accepted by retailers. They should make these people move their vehicles to the designated consumer parking areas like the rest of us. I would like to see everyone treated equally and not given special privileges because people are scared to say anything.

First of all, I don't know who the person was who lost the babe off Missouri Street, but whoever it was was absolutely correct. If you will look in Luke 2, verse 12, you will find and this will be a sign to you a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes laying in a manger. I don't think the women in Hooters, that's the correct thing they should be called. After all, we know what they represent and it's not the Christ child. Mr. Jensen I can not even concede you made such a flip remark about what that man or woman said. First of all the guy that said that is considered an infidel. See if you can look that up in the dictionary. If you can't you can look it up in the Greek dictionary if you know where to look. If I was you Mr. Jensen, I would chose my comments very, very carefully when you're speaking on something that neither you, or whoever called in, knows anything about. To whoever laughed and thought this was such a cute little joke to take something that represents the Christ child, I'd really reconsider what I've done. And if you're really intelligent, I'd return it or at least hope I'd repent. Let's see if you print this one.

Small businesses have not paid their workers a living wage for the last nine years. Yet they have raised prices for many other reasons. Small businesses do not offer any benefits, let alone paid vacations or sick days. Maybe they should take the minimum wage they are being forced to pay out of their profits. Of course this would mean they'd have to do without that extra car, a swimming pool or yet another vacation. That way their employees could put food on the table, try to get healthcare and maybe give up some kind of government or state assistance. Come on small businesses, nine years of taking all the profits is too long. To stay in business you need to tighten your belts.

If you are unhappy because Wal-Mart will not keep the yard goods department, write to: Jo Ann Stores, 5555 Darwood Rd. Hudson, Ohio 44417 Attention: Dave Bolen. They may open a store here or nearby. Their selection and prices are better.

I'd like to speak out about a gentleman, if you want to call him a gentleman, in the little town of Morehouse. I'm an elderly lady and he is claiming I owe him money, which I don't. This man approached me in public, at Wal-Mart, right in front of God and everybody there. I want this man to know I don't owe him anything and I don't appreciate him harassing me in public. He ever harasses me in public again I will call the police. I don't think a person like me should have to put up with people like that. It was very distasteful.
