SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY -- Dr. and Mrs. Shelton Smith have announced the engagement of their daughter, Erika Smith, to Andrew Sevic, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sevic of Charleston.

A 2000 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in public relations, the future bride is a senior technical recruiter at Bradford and Galt in St. Louis.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in agribusiness. He is employed as an account manager by Sentry Insurance in St. Louis.

A March wedding is planned at McKnight Road Church of Christ followed by a reception at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis.
