Stephenson - Knight

SIKESTON -- Heather Stephenson and Steven Knight were united in marriage during a Sept. 16, 2006, ceremony at Powerhouse Church of God in Sikeston with the Rev. Harriet Craig, pastor, officating.

Parents of the bride are Patrick and Joyce Stephenson, and the bridegroom is the son of Shirley and Bobby Knight.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a Mori strapless gown which featured a cathedral train.

Hillary Knight of Sikeston, sister of the bridegroom, served the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Nikki Keller of Sikeston, friend of the bride. They wore black gowns. Flower girl was Jazmin Harris, niece of the bridegroom. Walter Perry of Sikeston served his cousin as best man. Willaim Knight, brother of the bridegroom, was groomsman. Along with the bridegroom, they wore black ties and Ralph Lauren tuxedoes.

A reception followed the ceremony at The Manhattan Room in Sikeston, where music was provided by Pro Music in Sikeston.

A bridal shower hosted by Delina Cureton, cousin of the bridegroom; Hillary Knight, sister of the bridegroom; and the bridegroom's parents was held Aug. 26. A bacholor party for the bridegroom was held Aug. 26 and given by Bob Perry of Kansas City, cousin of the bridegroom; Walter Perry; and the bridegroom's father.

Following a honeymoon to Wappapello, the couple is making their home in Sikeston.
