Larry Mayabb

EAST PRAIRIE - Larry Gene Mayabb, 50, died at 2:20 p.m., Nov. 5, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 25, 1956, in East Prairie, to Imogene Childers Mayabb and the late Harry Mayabb, he lived most of his life in Mississippi County and was a retired truck driver.

In addition to his mother, survivors include: three sons, Cory Mayabb of Dallas and Jamie and Larry Mayabb of East Prairie; one daughter, Whitney Mayabb of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, Harry Wayne Mayabb of Sikeston and Terry Lee Mayabb of Panama City; and one sister, Sherry Thurman of Panama City.

One infant son; one infant sister; and one brother, Gary Mayabb, preceded him in death.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Mike Johnson and Helen Kersey will officiate.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: David Abner, Joie Hendrix, Dusty Baker, Michael B. O'Dell, Cory Caery and Ricky Childers.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Elmo Jackson, Craig Poore and Ernie Kirby.
