Dear Mike,

I would like to commend the Standard on the covering of 1st Lt. Amos Camden Riley Bock's death. There are no sufficient words at a time like this and sometimes the least said is the most touching. So was the absence of your "Letter to the Editor" spot on the day of Camden's funeral, with his obituary only in it's place.

The fact that the entire paper closed to honor this fallen hero, and to show respect to a fellow co-worker, editor, and friend was also a wonderful tribute to Jill and her family. To those of us with military family members, it brings so much closer to home the graveness of our situation in Iraq, as well as how fragile indeed life is. May God bless all of our troops, bringing them home soon. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy goes out to Riley, Jill, and Mariah, as well as my humble thanks for Camden's courage and bravery on behalf of all of us here at home.
