USDA Rural Development names new area director

DEXTER - Pam Anglin is the new area director for the USDA Rural Development's 14-county area of Southeast Missouri. Greg Branum, Missouri state director for USDA Rural Development, recently announced the selection.

Anglin will be headquartered at the Dexter USDA Service Center and serve the counties of Mississippi, New Madrid, Scott, Stoddard, Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Perry, Dunklin, Pemiscot, Butler, Carter, Reynolds, Ripley and Wayne.

"Anglin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position about Rural Development programs and will be an asset to Southeast Missouri," said Branum. She will direct the Rural Development team in the delivery of programs including: rural housing, multi-family housing, community facilities, business and industry, and the water and wastewater programs.

A native Missourian, Anglin grew up in Ripley County. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in agricultural business and a minor in management and marketing.

She joined the predecessor of Rural Development - the USDA Farmers Home Administration in 1990-- working in Dexter, Bloomfield, New Madrid and in Poplar Bluff. Most recently she has been the Rural Development manager in Poplar Bluff.

Rural Development is the primary credit arm of USDA and administers a variety of loan and grant programs to thousands of individuals, families, businesses and communities in Missouri. These funds are used to provide quality housing, good jobs, clean drinking water and waste disposal systems plus reliable modern essential community facilities and services in rural area.
