Speakout 7/16

Monday, July 16, 2007

I'd like to thank my neighbors, Mr. Hicks and Mr. Curry, for mowing my yard and my lot in the back Sunday. I appreciate it and there should be more neighbors like them. This is not the first time they've done this for me when I needed it. I would just like to thank them very much. It is really appreciated.

DGA Gas at Morehouse, $2.69 a gallon, DGA Gas at Charleston, $2.79 a gallon. Thank you very much. We like it. Since gas is usually 10 or 15 cents cheaper in Sikeston than it is in Charleston, I usually go to Sikeston, fill up my tank and eat out and buy groceries at Wal-Mart. Charleston/Mississippi County is losing all kinds of money due to the fact that gas is cheaper in Sikeston. Way to go Mississippi County and Charleston!

I just drove through town and on the east side of town there is a business that is doing a great thing for East Prairie. It is working people in this area. I read in SpeakOut awhile back, where this place is an eyesore. To me it's one of the most organized places for used parts I've every seen. I think the city needs more people willing to take some of these old buildings in town and put something in them that will hire people, instead of guest houses and apartments. Thank you, Bootheel Tractor Parts

These people think they are doing something great when they come snooping around your house when you're not at home. They have no business being there. There ought to be a law against people snooping where they don't belong at.

All the yellow dogs are upset about the president commuting the sentence against Libby. Where was their indignation when Clinton, Slick Willy, pardoning terrorists, drug dealers and political cronies? Amazingly, he even traded pardons for contributions to his presidential library. How about using a little common sense when viewing the Libby decision? Wake up, people!
