SIKESTON -- Ruby Lee Kelso, 82, died at 9:11 a.m. July 29, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born April 18, 1926, in Gideon, daughter of the late Arthur Benjamin and Mamie Francis Hawse Jones, she had worked as a nurse's aide at Sikeston Health Care. She was of the Baptist belief.

On Oct. 9, 1947, in Sikeston, she married Elzie Lee Kelso who preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1968.

One son, Tommy Dale Kelso; one brother, four sisters; and one grandson also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara "Bobbie" and Steven Hadder of Oran and Vickie Bivens and friend Bubby Caldwell of Morley; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Tom McCanless of Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories at Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Bubby Caldwell, Kevin Alexander, Ronnie Staggs, Johnnie Thompson, Kevin Ashcraft and Dewey Harper.
