Daisy Brown

SIKESTON -- Daisy E. Brown, 85, died on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at 7:09 p.m. at her residence.

She was born on Oct. 5, 1922, in Hagarville, Ark., to the late Gilbert V. and Lou Rainey Clark Patterson. She was a housewife and homemaker and a member of Trinity Gospel Church.

She married Elgy Lee Brown Sr. on Oct. 9, 1942, in Charleston, and he survives of the home.

She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Elgy L. and Donna Brown, Jr. of Sikeston; her daughter and son-in-law, Marjean and James Figley of Sikeston; two sisters, Bessie Kraus of Chaffee and Orena Halford of Sikeston; one granddaughter, Lori Melton of Matthews and two great-grandchildren, Michael Lee Ancell and Loren Ancell of Matthews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one grandson, Lee Elgin Brown.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the Trinity Gospel Church. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Larry Davis, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
