Sidewalk for Ables

I'm calling to make a suggestion to the city, which pertains to putting in a sidewalk on the south side of Ables Road. You could go from the school on the east side to the school on the west side and it would also reduce some of the parents picking up the children. It would also give children, grade school, high school and etc., a much safer place to walk on Ables Road with so much traffic

A spoiled brat

I've been watching ESPN and all the other news, especially the sports news. It's been Brett Favre, Brett Favre, Brett Favre for weeks now. He joined the camp with Green Bay yesterday and he failed to go practice today. He's saying they've parted ways and he's caused all these problems. If he'd been black, I think he would have been labeled as a troublemaker, as a spoiled athlete. Since he's a white, successful athlete, maybe the south has played a part as how we've accepted that as a negotiation, like it's something new, but it's being handled like it's something extraordinary. It's been done before by other athletes. His actions are being betrayed as something that alright, something groundbreaking. He is simply a spoiled athlete. Had he been black, he would have been labeled as a troublemaker and a spoiled brat.

Slippery, but clean

To help people with the mole problem, I have a mole repellant. You put 2 tbsp. of castor oil and1 tbsp. of dishwashing liquid into 1 gallon of water. You mix and spray with a sprayer over your yard where the moles are. It should take care of them.

Looking for fridge

I would like to speakout to see if anybody would have a pretty decent refrigerator to donate to a small church. Call 475-9625 or 380-8497.

Trash, rednecks and rights

This is to the person that was talking about the trashcans out front. Does the person know what day their trash runs? And also, rednecks is a bad term. There are a lot of rednecks in Southeast Missouri. A redneck is someone who works in the field and gets a red neck. That's where the term comes from. Also, where do Sikeston police come off arresting people and not reading them their rights when they get arrested? That's all I've got to say. I think Sikeston has just gone to pot and it needs cleaned up now.

Where's it go?

Good morning. We were wondering if someone from the city of Morley could answer a few questions for us. No. 1 - Where does the money go when people pay their city taxes? The streets are full of potholes. The dogs are barking loudly at night. People are running up and down the streets shooting fireworks after midnight. There's also loud music being played throughout the night. People cannot sleep. We were just wondering, where's the law at in this town and where does our tax money go. Can someone please tell us. We would sure like to know.

Right and wrong

Bible quote, Proverbs Chapter 14, Verse 34. Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

Tears of joy

Will someone please tell Neal Boyd to stop crying? When he loses control of himself like that, it interferes with his ability to perform. We've all been moved by his story. Now it's time for him to show some grit. He'll have to get tough, put up a fight and win this thing like we know he can.

Liar, liar

I was talking to a person the other day, and I noticed one thing about what she said. When it comes to the welfare office, people will go there and tell all sorts of lies and get more help than the ones that go in and try to be honest. When they go in, they get turned down for almost everything. The ones that lie all the time seem to get all the help.
