Local health officials prepared; Antivirals in stock

SIKESTON -- Although there have been no confirmed or even possible swine flu cases in the Sikeston area, health officials are prepared should an outbreak occur locally.

The current swine flu strain -- also known as H1N1 -- has sickened more than 3,440 people in 29 countries, the World Health Organization reported Saturday.
