Squirrels win hard-fought game over Kansas 4-2

CHARLESTON -- In just under two hours quite a bit took place at Hillhouse Park in Charleston. Seven innings of baseball was played, a handful of pitchers were used and just a handful of hits were scattered between two clubs battling it out for a chance to move on in the Midwest Plains Regional tournament. But, before the lights were shut off Kansas' state flag was removed as the host Squirrels battled hard for a 4-2 victory.

Squirrels start day with 8-5 win over North Dakota

CHARLESTON -- With the Charleston Squirrels facing elimination on Monday afternoon they began their streak of five straight wins on the right foot with an 8-5 win over North Dakota in their first game of the day.
