Officers find drugs at residence

SIKESTON - Three Sikeston residents are in custody after a search warrant was served at 715 Hickory Tuesday afternoon.

The search warrant was served by the Department of Public Safety's Special Operations Team after information was received that meth was being cooked at the residence.

After securing the occupants, DPS detectives, SEMO Drug Task Force members and Drug Enforcement Administration officers conducted a search of the residence. During the search officers found quantities of cocaine, meth, marijuana as well as pills and paraphernalia used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

The three suspects were taken to DPS where they are being held awaiting charges through the Scott County Prosecutor's office.
