Commissioners work to ensure a smooth transition following Joel Evans' resignation

BENTON -- Following the resignation of one of its employees, Scott County commissioners are working to ensure business will not be interrupted.
Joel Evans, county developer and emergency management director, turned in his resignation on Tuesday. His last day with the county is planned to be Jan. 7.
"I don't want anything to fall through the cracks," said Jamie Burger, presiding commissioner.
