Sikeston home meet cancelled

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Bulldogs home-opening wrestling meet was cancelled Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs were set to host the New Madrid County Central Eagles at the Sikeston Field House but icy road conditions forced school officials to cancel.

NMCC dismissed school early on Wednesday because of the weather conditions.

No plans to reschedule were known at press time.

Sikeston will now gear up for the Tiger Classic hosted by Cape Central on Friday starting at 5 p.m.
