Commissioners look at changes in fund balances

CHARLESTON -- Mississippi County's new presiding commissioner got his first look at the county's financial status during the commission's first meeting of the year.

County Clerk Junior DeLay presented Presiding County Commissioner Carlin Bennett and Steve Jones and Robert Jackson, associate county commissioners, with a statement of changes in fund balances for the county's five largest funds during Thursday's meeting.
