KRCC: Success due to help from many donors
SIKESTON - Thursday was a chance to say thanks.
The Kenny Rogers Children's Center opened its doors to the public to tour its 7,000 square foot expansion and improved facilities.
Michelle Fayette, KRCC executive director, recalled how three years ago the center had reached its limit.
However with the completion of a three-phase renovation, the center will have six more therapists, providing more services to children this fall.
Fayette said this will enable the Center to reduce its waiting list of children in need of services, one of the primary goals of the expansion.
In addressing those who attended Thursday's open house, Fayette thanked those who "have gone above and beyond in making this dream a reality." The Center has honored donors by associating rooms with their names.
