Perfect landing

With Thursday's sunny skies and warm temperatures, there was a lot of activity at the Sikeston Airport as flying enthusiasts and construction workers both took advantage of the weather. A grader works to level the new taxiway as a plane glides in for a landing. Work began by R.L. Persons Construction of Poplar Bluff on the mile-long taxiway this past fall and should be completed by mid-summer according to Mike Hawkins, project supervisor.
