WINTER GARDEN, Fla. -- Films in the StarLite Film Festival came from around the globe but the host is from Sikeston, Mo.

The four-day event conducted at the Garden Theatre in Winter Garden through Sunday last weekend was a huge success, according to Alauna McMillen, managing director.

While there were no films from Sikeston submitted, the community did provide the host: she is the daughter of Ken and Vicki Rubenacker of Sikeston.

"I moved into Sikeston in the sixth grade, went to middle school, junior high there and graduated from Sikeston High School," McMillen said.
