It's a busy time of year for the SACC

The Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce is busy gearing up for our 62nd Annual Awards Banquet March 29th at the Sikeston Field House and our 18th Annual Bootheel's Best Barbecue Contest to be held in Malone Park. In addition to these annual events the Chamber provides a variety of other services including providing information to tourist or perspective tourist visiting the area. We give out over 6,000 city maps each year, and hand out over 2,000 phone books as well. We send out relocation information to companies considering the area for business and provide information on schools, real estate, utilities, etc to people relocating to our community.

We provide a Community Calendar of Events on our website www.sikeston.net. The internet traffic on our site continues to grow with an average of 100,000 each month with our heaviest traffic taking place in the early morning hours before 8 a.m. and picking up again in the afternoon into evening. Our calendar of events and business directory are the two most popular traffic items on the site.

We also work with other entities in our area to provide economic development services, customized training opportunities for employees of our member employers, and leadership education to our professionals exposing them to leadership roles available to them in the community.

These are just a few of the services we provide, it is part of our day-to-day activities in our office, answering questions face to face, by phone, by fax or by email trying to better serve our members and the community as a whole.
