CAPE GIRARDEAU -- William Monroe "Bill" Borneman Jr. 65, formerly of Delta, died Feb. 14, 2012.

Born Oct. 18, 1946, in Delta, to Novella Slinkard Borneman Howell of Chaffee and the late William M. Borneman Sr., he worked at the Fisher Body automobile plant in St. Louis and was a member of the Labor Union. He retired in 2004 as business manager and secretary treasurer of Laborers Local No. 1104. He was a member of the Cape Girardeau Elks Lodge No. 639, Cape Girardeau VFW Post No. 3838 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3775.

On June 19, 1964, he married Emma Hefner. On June 2, 1984, he married Theresa "Terry" Harris who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law Cindy and A.J. Kelley; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Tim and Teresa Borneman, Denny and Michaela Borneman and Danny Borneman and his fiancee Tracy Crowden of Delta; a sister, Karen O'Connor of St. Charles; a brother, Guy Borneman of Delta; three stepchildren and their spouses, Lisa Morton, Kim and Art Harris and Lesley and Jamie Sissom; and six grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and two great-stepgrandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled after 4 p.m. with an Eagles memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Eric Hodge officiating.

Burial will follow at McGuire Cemetery near Burfordville.
