Bulldogs fare well at Cape Relays

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Sikeston Bulldogs track team had a strong showing Saturday during the Cape Relays at Cape Central High School.

The boys team finished fifth with an 89 while the girls topped out at third with 114.

Cape Central took first with 124 points. Union and Jackson beat out Sikeston on the girls side.

The Scott City boys team took sixth with a 62. The girls finished eighth with a 27.

The Scott City boys won the 3200-meter relay with a time of 8:36.77. Brandon Shemonia took first in the 3200 run with a 9:34.22.

Individual results for the Sikeston boys and girls team could not be found by press time.
