Donna Gilliland

SIKESTON -- Donna Gilliland, 73, died June 11, 2012, at her home in Sikeston.

Born Oct. 27, 1938, in Clarksville, Ark., daughter of the late Wilbur and Gladys (Bell) Gossett Sr., she was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and had worked for Sikeston Woodworking, Oran Hat Factory and DeWitt Company before retiring.

On Sept. 4, 1954, she married Eugene Gilliland; he survives of the home in Sikeston.

Other survivors include: one son, Steven Eugene (Tara) Gilliland of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one daughter, Janice (Walter) Deason III of Little Rock, Ark.; three brothers, Wilbert "Bill" (Kay) Gossett Jr. of Sikeston, Harold Gossett of Dodge City, Kan., and Dale (Joan) Gossett of Sikeston; three sisters, Shirley (Ed) Hodgson of Lawrence, Kan., Carol Payne of Sikeston and Glendella (Jim) May of Scott City; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home. Bryan Ayers, First Church of the Nazarene, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Foote, Josh Lewis, Lonnie Lejeune, Jim Vines, Russell Gilliland and Randy Gilliland.
