LeRoy Callanan

DIEHLSTADHT -- LeRoy Callanan, 65, formerly of Chicago, died June 23, 2012, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 12, 1946, in Chicago, he was the son of Raymond Callanan of Farmington and the late Juanita Pohl Keller.

On March 1, 2000, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, he married Dorothy Tripp who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife and father, survivors include: one son, Billy Newman of New Philadelphia, Ohio; three daughters, Debbie Adams of Poplar Bluff, Barbara Fowler of Dudley and Gail McCanless of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Kenneth Callanan of Lacrosse, Wis.; three sisters, Edith Jones of Trevor, Wis., Kathy Callanan of Quitman, Ark., and Susan Dryer of Columbia; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

His body was donated to science for research.
