SIKESTON -- From muddy shoes to grass-stained jeans to ice cream on the face, children always seem to enjoy a good mess. On Saturday, the YMCA is making it easy for kids to get as messy as they want.

From 10 a.m. until noon, the YMCA will host "Dress for a Mess," for children 1 to 8-plus at the YMCA North Field. The event is free, with adult supervision required, but will give kids a chance to have fun and make a mess.

"We will have a bunch of different stations," said YMCA intern Heather Menz. "We will have a messy obstacle course and the kids can go station-to-station to things like a mud pool and slip and slide with oil."
