Roger Williams

NEW MADRID -- Roger Williams, 50, died July 27, 2012, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 11, 1961, in Clayton, he lived most of his life in care facilities and had been a resident of the Golden Living Center in New Madrid since Nov. 1, 1985.

There is no information available about his parents or siblings.

He is survived by his extended family which includes the aides, nurses, doctors and staff at the Golden Living Center and his guardian, H. Riley Bock, New Madrid County public administrator.

Roger imparted a sense of usefulness and purpose on those who cared for him; he will be missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid with Tim Farrenburg officiating.

The Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid is in charge of arrangements.
