Breaking ground

The dust was filling the air Monday afternoon as earth movers and bull dozers moved the dirt at the future location of Do It Best Corporation's new retail service center off of Rose Parkway in the Sikeston Business, Education and Technology Park. The company, which is a hardware, lumber and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry, is relocating from Cape Girardeau to Sikeston. Construction on the 550,000-square-foot building is expected to take about 18 months.
