NEW MADRID -- Daryl Dean Plymate, 76, died Spet. 26, 2012, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born May 23, 1936, in Columbus, Neb., to the late Donald and Genevieve Hoesing Plymate, he was a member of the Missouri National Guard and was employed as a millwright in construction before retiring. He was past Worshipful Master of the New Madrid Masonic Lodge, member of the SEMO Shriners Club, 32nd Degree Master Mason, Royal Arch and Knights Templar.

He was married to Dora Johnson, and she preceded him in death on July 25, 2005.

He was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Bobby J. Sullivan Jr.; and one brother, Glen Plymate.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Alice Plymate of Chesapeake, Va.; one daughter, Elizabeth Sullivan of New Madrid; one sister; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is at 10 a.m. with Masonic rites at 11 a.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Services will follow at noon.
