Junior Holman
MATTHEWS -- Pink "Junior" Holman, 86, died Sept. 30, 2012, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 1, 1926, in Lamar, Ark., to the late Pink William and Clara Alpha Grace Holman, he was a farmer for Calvin Farms, retiring in 1997, and was a member of the Matthews Church of the Nazarene.
On Dec. 23, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., he married Ruth Ruff, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Mike Murphy of Sikeston; two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Ruth Holman of Jackson and Tim and Rita Holman of Miner; one brother, Glen Holman of Morehouse; one sister, Pauline Reynolds of St. Charles; and 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Steven Holman, and two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Preston Palmer and Don Heitman will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Kevin Holman, Shawn Murphy, Jason Holman, Steven Holman II, Tim Holman II and Aaron Murphy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stacey Holman, Tracey Burney, Dustin Holman, Daniel Holman, Joshua Holman and Tyler Holman.
