Students at Sikeston High School are putting Newton's Law of Motion into action by creating their own rockets. Following the rocket's launch, according to physical science instructor Robert Lamar, students measure the distance it travels and the time it takes to determine speed, velocity, acceleration, kinetic energy, momentum and force. Students celebrated their successes (and failures) as the rockets in Lamar and Derek Ward's physical science classes put their designs to the test Wednesday and today.
