City council hears about recommended projects for next annual street program

SIKESTON -- A traffic flow issue at the Sikeston Sports and Recreation Complex can be resolved without including it in the next street program.

Steve Lee, street superintendent, presented the Sikeston City Council with the staff recommendations for the Fiscal Year 2013 Street and Drainage Improvement Program during the regular monthly Council meeting Monday.

The city's Planning and Zoning Committee toured the city Nov. 13 to come up with a list of projects to present to the Council, according to Lee.

"We try to spread the money out," he said.
