SHS grapplers win North County dual, NMCC routs Caruthersville

BONNE TERRE -- The Sikeston Bulldogs wrestling team defeated all three of their competitors Tuesday night during the North County dual against Hillsboro, Festus and North County.

Sikeston defeated Hillsboro 54-24, Festus 67-11 and North County 52-30.

"I think we wrestled really well and the boys are really coming together as a team," Sikeston head coach Chris Lowe said. "We still are battling injuries and filling in with some freshmen."

Nine Sikeston wrestlers finished the night undefeated: Garrett Middleton, Garrick Madison, Javeon Bonner, Cody Middleton, Jacob Stinnett, Courtney Hawkins, Antwuan Dorsey, Clay Porter and Tarrington Marks.

Sikeston will travel to Jackson today to take on both the Indians and the Dexter Bearcats.

NMCC 80, Caruthersville 16

CARUTHERSVILLE -- The New Madrid County Central Lady Eagles hammered the Caruthersville Lady Tigers Wednesday 80-16.

No other information was available at press time.

NMCC will host the Sikeston Lady Bulldogs tonight with junior varsity action starting at 6 p.m.
