DEXTER -- Cora Mae Putnam, 98, died April 4, 2012, at Central Gardens Residential Care in Dexter.
Born May 26, 1913, in Dexter, to the late Charles H. and Myrtle Brown Perry, she was a homemaker, a member of the Pleasant Grove Community Church in Dexter and worked on the Stoddard County Election Board for many years.
On Aug. 15, 1934, in Bernie, she married Elvin John Putnam who preceded her in death on March 18, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Bobbie Gene Putnam, one brother, James H. Perry, and two grandsons.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Rosa Lee and Ron Bell of Greensboro, N.C.; one sister, Vivian Irene Johnson of Bernie; one daughter-in-law, Janet Putnam of Dexter; and seven grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Burial will follow at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter.
